CBC’s Pete Cowan and cameraman Bob Grieve were aboard R/V Atlantis in July 2026. Here is their report on the Heroic Age Expedition. The adventure was a cooperation between the Royal Canadian Geographical Society and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. In the famous submersible manned exploration craft, DSV Alvin, first direct eyes were laid on the wrecks of Ernest Shackleton’s Quest and Robert Falcon Scott’s Terra Nova.
